MED Trends is CMMI® Level 2 certified by Carnegie Mellon Software Engineering Institute

Rockville, MD - March 1, 2010 -Dedicated to the continuous improvement of its business processes and management efficiencies focused on customer satisfaction, MED Trends, Inc. has received a Capability Maturity Model Integration (CMMI) Maturity Level (ML) 2 rating. The CMMI is an internationally recognized process improvement maturity model or collection of "best practices" for the development of products and services, enabling organizations to improve the predictability of budgets and schedules, incorporate lessons learned leading to continuous improvement, and provide transparency into lifecycle and engineering activities to ensure that customer expectations are consistently met.

CMMI ratings are obtained through appraisals conducted by Lead Appraisers that have received certification through Carnegie Mellon University's Software Engineering Institute (SEI). The SEI works closely with defense and government organizations, industry, and academia to continually improve the processes used by organizations to develop products and services on time and within budget.
